I have a confession to make. Brace yourselves. I have never had eggplant. Ever. to understand this you must consider that for the first 20 years of my life I refused to eat anything that looked weird. And eggplant looks weird. After that, well, I just don’t know what to do with the damn thing. How do you cook an eggplant? What do you use it for? You know those times when you have just the outfit, but no location to shoot in? Or said location makes crash fiftyelebenty times and you just want to chuck the computer out the window? Just about 12 hours left to go until Pose Fair 2010 opens it’s doors. I have to admit that when I got chosen as one of the bloggers who got to preview it, I let out a little fangirl squee and chairdanced. There are so many content creators involved in this that I’ve respected and admired over the years. The organizer and brain behind this, Katey Coppola of Glitterati, being one of them.

The fair is set on it’s very own sim, with a low-lag yet stylish build that’s very easily navigated. Everything is optimized towards creating as little lag as possible so that everyone can enjoy the fair.

At landing point you even get two special Pose Fair Skins. Put these on to both help lag and get a giggle. So very stylish.

Over the next week I’ll show you some of my favorites from the fair and believe me, there’s a lot of them. Pose Fair runs from April 2nd to April 16th.

Acanthus Jungle is another build by the very talanted builder Jasper Ashley, who I’ve told you about before. Just as the Adelaide Forest, the Acanthus Jungle is a commercial-free sim open to the public.

Acanthus Jungle is another  fantastic place for exploring. Hidden behind the thick nature you can find temples, little cabins, swings hanging from the tree’s and cuddle spots. Great spot to hang out with your friends or that special someone, or take some pictures with a great backdrop.

Truth #4; I’m a compulsive Lister.

I have somewhere around 10-15 notebooks all filled with one thing. Lists. It all started a few years back when I was getting more and more frustrated about not remembering things. You know, old age and all. So I started to make lists. It started innocently with just the most important things and quickly spiraled in to listing… everything.

I have lists for blogposts, home-work, design ideas, alts, websites, stuff to buy (irl & sl), stuff to wish for… Well you get the idea. I have 2 notebooks by the bed and about 5 or 6 by the desk, all of which I use. It’s comes to a point where if I would lose one I’d probably go nutters. It’s also caused me to have a unhealthy habit of buying fancy notebooks all the time.

But hey, I rarely forget anything these days.

Yesterday I started of my truth challenge by admitting I lacked discipline. This next truth might feel like it’s in conflict with the first one.

Truth #2; When it comes to my virtual life, I am very neat and organized.

You’d think with my lack of discipline, this wouldn’t be so, but in fact it helps. Cleaning inventory or organizing hard-drives is what I do when I should be doing other things. Like homework. Or ads.

Unfortunatley this is a concept that’s exclusive to my virtual world. While my hard-drives, emails and inventory is neatly organized, my desk, bedroom and kitchen is a big fat mess. Piles upon piles of stuff.

Mind you, not gross, just not organized. Yet somehow I always manage to find exactly what I’m looking for anyway, which is probably why I don’t bother organizing it in the first place.

Labeled as a romance and free RP sim, The Legend is a bit of a summers paradise, which is exactly what I need right now. The sun turned up in March promising spring and summer right around the corner and I can’t wait for it.

Meanwhile I can saunter around The Legend with it’s meadow, beaches and little hidden spots. A bit of a haven for couples too, with cuddle-spots scattered all over. If you, like me, is sick of winter already, this is the spot for you.

I really enjoy it when shopping-oriented sims do something different. Rather than just slapping up a mall with booths, they go the extra mile to make people enjoy the sim, not just shop in it.

Drowsy is one of those. Drowsy is home to a few selected stores but is first and foremost a beautiful place worthy of exploring. The shopping aspect is so well integrated that I actually had moments when I didn’t know it was a shop until I hovered over something that was for sale.

You land in the town square of a small harbor city with small shops, theaters and alley’s to explore. It then continues on in to the wild offering some lush nature as well. Very interesting and explorer-friendly.
